THE TRUTH ABOUT FREEDOM

Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe once asked

" Koda kube nini Nkosi Zonke izizwe zisinyasha pantsi kweenyawo?" (Until when, oh Lord, will all nations trample us under foot)? until we can answer "no more".

As we reflect on the eve of the 19th year since the first Democratic elections in 1994 bringing an end to the “political apartheid” we are in a unique position to weigh soberly the matters and our progression since that momentous event that saw the election of the first Black and democratically elected President in South Africa Tata Nelson Mandela.

What has been our progress since then? Has anything changed?

Consider the words of Phillip Randolph:

“Justice is never given; it is exacted and the struggle must be continuous for freedom is never a final fact, but a continuing evolving process to higher and higher levels of human, social, economic, political and religious relationship.”

On the eve of the 19th Year Celebrations of Freedom the Breath of Life Institute will host an enlightening and insightful seminar titled The Truth about Freedom- Revealing the Master Plan of Redemption
This Public Lecture  -  Truth about Freedom -  will illuminate national, moral and societal issues; analyze our state of affairs as a country and the extended global family. What is freedom? Are we free? Free to do what and for whom?

The program will include a short video clip and Lecture followed by an open question and answer discussion session.

Join us for this extraordinary event presented by the Breath of Life Institute under the Auspices of the Kingdom of Yah.

NEW BEGINNING, NEW YEAR AND NEW LIFE!

The spirit of sisterhood compels one to desire to always bring joy to your fellow keepers. As women we experience different significant events as a testimony to our growth. These stages are marked by joyous occasions with those dear unto us, be it family or friends or both, such as when we are about to get married or when we are about to bring a new life into this world. Such celebrations bring warmth, love and a sense of belonging especially when it comes as a surprise.

My sister Tihirah has been blessed with the privilege of carrying a sacred seed which will be a child of Yah(God) and taught on how to live life on earth as it is in heaven. These sacred seeds born into the Kingdom of Yah are special children with a special mission- to be a blessing unto every life they will impact. It made so much sense to theme the surprise baby shower a royal celebration – for he/she would be amongst kings, queens, princes and princesses.

Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures. The whole mission was undercover; therefore it was camouflaged as our Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew New Year) celebration held at the Simkhiel residence. Décor included gold leaves and crowns hanging on streamers with balloons adding to the ambiance of a celebration. Jumping castle was the focal point and aided in entertaining the yeladote (children) and of course the adults (who are technically still children of Yah, forever young).

The guests of honour (Quaniel family) were given crowns and name tags and the guest also had their own crowns to wear.

Giraffe necklaces with a thank you note were baby shower favours, while little notes in which the guest had to fill in were presented to the parents to keep

A 3 course meal would be served outside buffet style and games that concentrated on the mother and the father were played. Little did everyone know about our guests of honour before the games, but after a fun filled program we soon learned that mother to be, Tihirah, took competition seriously and made sure she was the winner of the day.

My gift to you!

On Yom Reeshon, 3rd March 2013,we as Western Cape jurisdiction held our Yom L’mokereem celebration in Somerset West at the Quaniel residence. Yom L’mokereem is a season in our community where we take the time and effort to appreciate each other’s spirit and presence in our life through a gift from the heart. It may be a poem, dance, present or any other form in which one could feel loved and appreciated.

The previous week we each had to pick a name from a bunch to reveal who we would appreciate at the celebration. This experience compelled us to learn more about the person we would be appreciating, questions such as what they liked or what did they needed the most  were constantly circulated to find the perfect gift. The probing game added to the suspense which made the whole occasion fun, exciting and enjoyable.

The day left me with a lingering sense of nostalgia - taking me back to 2008 when a beautiful soul blessed me with a craft she had made especially for me including a heartfelt message. The words spoken had a deep effect on my spiritual well-being to the point that it ensured that I always strive for righteousness. May the bonds established and fortified be an eternal source of inspiration.
