HEALTH IS WEALTH!
The most important possession we have is our bodies; for
it’s through them that we are able to express the gift that was bestowed upon
us by our Creator. This gift is life itself. We must be conscious of how we
treat these sacred temples of ours and must care for them in a manner that will
ensure that we continue to enjoy life.
On the of 8th of June 2013 the Jerusalem
Sisterhood on behalf of The Breath of Life partook of a “Preventative Health
Promotion” in conjunction with medical students at UCT - The event was hosted at Gugulethu Mall. The
Health Promotion was the brainchild of Acote Arikeeyah; this great initiative
touched upon the lives of our people who have been victims of a lifestyle and
habits that have compromised their health.

In the words of the Arikeeyah –
“The health promotion project is geared at prevention of diabetes and hypertension. The aim of the project is to empower the community through educating them about the mentioned conditions, their complications and most importantly what practical lifestyle changes they can make to ensure prevention/delay of their onset (using pamphlets and posters in Xhosa and English, and a display table giving practical food preparation advice) and then affording them the opportunity to be screened by taking random glucose finger prick tests and blood pressure readings. This health promotion project is not for academic purposes, rather was inspired by my experience of seeing patients suffering from complications of these diseases which could have been easily prevented.”
The health promotion included blood pressure readings and
glucose tests and an alternative lifestyle desk. The stand which was erected
caught the attention of the patrons of Gugulethu mall as participants of all
gender and age types took part in this great event.
The participants were thoroughly educated and screened
without a fee, thanks to the awesome team of UCT medical students. Such was the
spirit of the aspiring doctors expressed the spirit of healers and the beaming
smiles on the faces of the partakers was sure reward. There’s no greater
remuneration than knowing you have positively impacted upon someone’s life.
Assisting the medical students was the Jerusalem sisterhood,
Acote Somchiyah and Acote Khaniyah, who mounted an alternative lifestyles
stand. They taught and shared with the participants dietary alternatives to
white processed foods including sugar and animal products which are the main
contributors to ill health. Their table showcased different products that can
be sourced locally and also a pamphlet specially made for the event.
Overall the teamwork was outstanding and I was a witness to
the love displayed for our people by the team. We, the Breath of Life Institute
extoll Acote Arikeeyah, the UCT medical students, Acote Khaniyah and Acote
Somchiyah for an exceptional community initiative. May the Holy One of Israel
continue to strengthen their hands in servitude to our people!

REPORT BACK: NEW WORLD PASSOVER/SHAVOUTE 2013
New World Passover/Shavoute
Every year across the globe the Ascendants
of the New Adam celebrate a major prophetic unfolding that occurred in 1967.
This event marks the initial steps of the exodus of a remnant of the House of
Israel out of the Lands of the Great Captivity (North America). The children of
former slaves who are actually the seed of Abraham embarked on a journey that
has impacted every being on this planet from the largest to the smallest.
We all know the story of slavery and the agony
endured enthralled by Jim Crow laws, lynching and dehumanization. All of those
events were a result of an indictment placed upon of the Children of Israel for
their/our willful disobedience to the laws of the Most Holy and the penalty was
a 400 year plus captivity in the hands of the ungodly. 
It was prophesied that at the end of the
penalty a re-gathering/restoration of the Children of Israel will take place
under guidance of Yah the Most Holy. This process began in 1966 with the Great
Vision that was shared with H. E Ben Ammi HaMasheahk, wherein the Arch-Angel
Gabriel revealed unto him that time had come for the Children of Israel exiled
in the Americas to begin the journey back into the promised Land to establish
the long awaited Kingdom of God and the year of the Exodus would be 1967. 
It was in May 1967, the 17th and
18th, that H.E Ben Ammi, Prince Gavriel Gadol and Ben Yaacov
journeyed to Liberia as the land chosen for the rising remnant to prepare
themselves before entering Israel after a 2000 year exile. It is for that
reason that every year in May we celebrate New World Passover- the Memorial of
the Modern Day Exodus.
On the 26th of May which
happened also to be Shavoute or the Feast of Weeks, one of the biblical Holy
Days advocated by the Creator as recorded in Leviticus the 23rd
Chapter, the Western Cape Jurisdiction gathered at Ahk Quaniel’s house for a
celebration of two significant days on the Hebrew Calendar.
Not even the Cape Town rain could dampen
the spirit of the occasion. The Saints were dressed in Royal Regalia of purple
and gold this years’ theme colours. We danced and ate food prepared with love;
we played games such as Kingdom trivia; Kingdom Karaoke to create the
atmosphere of Love, Holy fun and joy all shared with family. After all reading
the bible isn’t the only thing men and woman of God do you know! We are living
our freedom from the physical as well as the mental chains of the Euro-American
world/idea!

This is a different kind of Passover; we
are never to return to any other captivity. We have passed over the last
captivity and are now living in the days of the Kingdom!

REPORT BACK: A NEW DAY IN AFRICA
On the fiftieth anniversary of Africa Day, the Breath of
Life institute hosted its second installment in a series of public lectures.
The
theme of this event was “A New Day in Africa”. This took place at the Cape Town
Central Library. The event was fairly attended however nothing could deter the
mission of the day.
Once again the lecture was an Audio-Visual treat,
extraordinarily informative and inspirational. Bro. Quaniel derived the
presentation from H.E Ben Ammi’s 2005 State of the World address entitled “The
Great Transformation and adapted it for the immediate situation.
This historical journey coupled with a vivid picture of the
future based on the laws and principles of the Yah of creation defined as the
God/African Idea was timeous. Half a century since the establishment of the OAU
we are compelled to reflect on its effectiveness.
The seminar questioned the legitimacy of Africa’s
independence considering that wherever you go on this continent it has been
developed in the image and likeness of Europe. The colonial mind refurbished as
democracy is running rampant yet it subtly retains the same destructive vigor
of its earlier overt predecessor. This mind referred to as the “European Idea”
continues to deny Africa of its self-hood and right to self-determination while
desecrating Africa’s cultural distinctiveness.
Such a glaring predicament requires that we apply new
strategies, policies and seek a new direction to address our social maladies.
The New Day in Africa Seminar inspired a new approach to the problems of Africa
and Africans. The proposed new idea is based on ancient African/Edenic
principles revealed as the Genesis/God Mind that was the mainstay of our former
world.
This idea develops society in harmony with its Creator and
creation which is the inherent driving force and nature of our beloved
continent. The application of this idea will free Africa from its morass as is evidenced
by its first successful social experiment in Dimona Israel. A New Day in Africa
begins with a New Idea/God Idea being implemented.
Those of us in attendance we thoroughly enthused and
stimulated by the message of the day and we look forward to the next public
lecture.

REPORT BACK: THE TRUTH ABOUT FREEDOM LECTURE

This event was the first in a series of Public Lectures by
the institution in its bid to engage the general public on critical issues
spanning all of life’s areas inclusive of spirituality, health, politics,
economics, culture etc. The purpose of the lectures is to open a public
engagement platform for questioning our state of affairs while providing new
and different holistic solutions.
This initial installment was attended by well over 20 people
including representatives of UDM’s youth league. The Lecture concentrated on
the true definition of Freedom as determined by one’s relationship with the
Creator and the laws that govern life. The lecturer expertly used visual aids
to convey the redemptive message of the institution.
The audience then engaged in a lively dialogue and
discussion in the Q & A session which asserted and entrenched in their
minds the need to re-evaluate the “freedom” that has been bestowed upon since
the advent of democracy.
The result of this event was that the net was cast into the
waters and it has brought forth that which it was intended for. This was truly
a blessed occasion and the perfect beginning.
